UNIL Master’s Grants Nursing College Scholarships for International Students

The grant Nursing College Scholarships may not be used for any complementary studies required to enroll on the Master’s degree and may not be used for EMBAs or Masters of Advanced studies.

Amount and duration of the grant Details:

The Nursing College Scholarships amount of the grant is CHF 1,600.- per month from 15 September to 15 July, for a duration not exceeding the regulation minimum period of the programme (according to the programme, one-and-a-half years or two years subject to deduction for paid placements or exempt semesters, if any). Abandonment of the programme results in suspension of the grant.

Required Details:

The Nursing College Scholarships candidate must be the holder of a degree from a foreign university.

The qualification held by the candidate must be deemed equivalent to the UNIL Bachelor’s degree.

Selection Procedure Details:

Nursing College Scholarships Candidates complete the “UNIL Master’s Grant” form and submit their application to the Office for socio-cultural affairs (SASC, Unicentre, University of Lausanne, CH-1015 Lausanne, info.sasc@unil.ch) by 15 December 2011 at the latest. The application is examined by the University Rectorate to determine whether the candidate is admissible. In the event of a positive decision, the application is forwarded by the SASC to the UNIL Faculty responsible for the Master’s on which the candidate wishes to be enrolled. The Faculty selects applications and notifies the SASC of its opinion based on the candidate’s qualities, motivation and suitability for the Master’s programme. The SASC forwards shortlisted applications to the selection committee which will award grants to students meeting all criteria according to the available budget.

TBA Masters Nursing College Scholarships Programme

Nursing College Scholarships Funded by a consortium of funders TBA, TBA Postgraduate Scholarships are by the Association for Tropical Biology offered the African graduates. They should help African alumni undertake postgraduate studies after completing the course of TBA, as part of the former route TBA promotion program to promote the development of human resources and strengthening professional skills at target African biologists in biodiversity conservation and research.

Nursing College Scholarships includes:
The financing for up to two years of study leading to a degree of control.
According to the proposed program of study, the scholarship will include tuition,travel, learning materials, and paid a modest income.

Eligibility:
Nursing College Scholarships Applicants must be African nationals who have completed a course of TBA.
Emphasis is placed on those who have attended courses given since 2001.

Applicants must have a graduate program that strengthen their research skills and conservation are important in their own country.

How to apply

Nursing College Scholarships Applications must be submitted in English include:

Letter (no more than two pages) indicating how the applicant will benefit from this course are education for the conservation of biological diversity in the country, region, district and community to improve.

The source of TBA Masters scholarship programme

PhD in Architecture, Building and Planning

The aim of this programme is to provide the knowledge that is necessary for adapting the built environment to be able to cope with climate change.The duration of the project is four years. The project is expected to start in May 2011. The gross monthly salary increases from € 2042,- in the first year to € 2612,- in the fourth year.

We are looking for an excellent and highly motivated candidate with an MSc degree in Building Science, Building, Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, or equivalent. Interest in modelling human behaviour, computer programming and physical processes (heat, air, moisture and pollution transfer) in the built environment is essential. Experience in human behaviour, climate adaptation modelling and computer programming, and/or experience in Building Performance Simulation, Computational Fluid Dynamics and/or Building Envelope Heat-Air-Moisture transfer modelling is a plus.

Commonwealth Split-site Doctoral Scholarship, New Delhi

Applications are invited for the award of Commonwealth Split-site Doctoral Scholarship only for the academic year 2011 offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom. Scholarships are available in all disciplines including Medicine and Dentistry.

Eligiblility:
Citizenship and Residency : Candidates should be citizen of India.
Qualification Requirement : Hold, by 1st October 2011, a first degree of upper second class Honours standard (or above) or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification which will normally be a Master's degree AND in the fields of medicine and dentistry, have qualified between 1 October 2001 and 30th September 2006.

College Scholarships Harold White Fellowships in National Library of Australia (NLA)

Detail:
The National Library of Australia offers annual fellowships to established researchers and writers. Established by the Council of the National Library of Australia in 1983 as the National Library Fellowships, the first Fellows commenced their research at the Library in 1984. The fellowships were renamed in honour of Sir Harold White CBE (1905-1992), the first National Librarian, in 1985.
The fellowships scheme aims to promote the Library as a centre of scholarly activity and research, encourage scholarly and literary use of the Library’s collections and production of publications arising from that scholarship, and to promote the Library’s rich and varied collections.
Four to seven fellowships, of periods from three to six months, are awarded annually.

Eligibility:
Fellowships are open to established Australian and international researchers and creative writers in any discipline in which the Library has strong collections. Successful applicants are generally senior scholars or writers with a strong publication track record, including publication of full length monographs. Fellowships are not intended for post-doctoral or early career researchers. More than 100 Fellowships have been awarded to scholars from a wide variety of disciplines, and to several award winning Australian creative writers, including Frank Moorhouse, Sara Dowse and David Foster.
Fellowships are not provided to assist with the completion of degree studies and applications from currently enrolled students will not be considered. Fellowships are awarded once only to each individual; subsequent applications from previous recipients will not be considered.

The Library’s Fellowships give scholars and writers the means and the uninterrupted time to work with the Library’s rich collections of books, journals, newspapers, maps, music, manuscripts, pictures and oral histories. Fellows have privileged access to the Library’s materials and facilities, as well as sustained interaction with many of its staff.

Selection criteria
Fellowships are awarded by the National Library Council, on the advice of an independent committee of representatives from Australia’s learned Academies, the Independent Scholars Association of Australia, the Australian Society of Authors and the Australian Library and Information Association.
The Committee assesses applications against specified criteria, including:
1.the capacity of the Library’s collections to support the proposed research, especially the extent to which the research might be uniquely supported by the collections
2.the scholarly or creative record of the applicant as shown by publication record and – for academic applicants – positions held; and
3.referee reports.
The Committee is not bound by national research priorities, and does not consider current topicality of the proposed research. The Committee does not take into account place of residence, employment status or other support available to the applicant, with the exception that Fellowships are not awarded to applicants with a current Australian Research Council grant for the same research project.

Award:
Fellows are provided with a return economy airfare to Canberra, an honorarium of $850 per week for the period of the Fellowship in Canberra, use of a fully equipped office, 24 hour access to the Library, and free photocopying and interlibrary loans.
The Library also awards Honorary Fellowships to scholars and writers who do not require financial assistance (i.e. airfare and honorarium) but who would benefit from the other privileges of the Fellowships.

Deadline: Applications for 2011 Fellowships closed on 30 April 2010. No applications or changes will be accepted after that date. Applications for 2012 Fellowships will open on 1 February 2011.
